When we moved back from living abroad after 15 years the first thing we wanted to do was to find a dog. Which Breed, there are so many?  My husband wanted a gun dog, so after a lot or research we decided on a Golden Retriever for their devotion and friendship.

We looked at at lot of litters and had not realised they came in so many shapes, sizes and colours. We were lucky enough to find  POPPY bred by Thelma Theed of the SQUIRRELSMEAD KENNEL who bred the wonderful  DIGBY owned by Marlene Silence, famous for her CANINA  boys who produce the most beautiful puppies you could ever  wish for.

We then decided we would like a companion for our Poppy, like most Goldies they don't like being on their own. So we decided to have a litter using  SH CH SQUIRRELSMEAD DIGBY OF CANINA. However the idea was to keep a bitch but there was one dog that just shone that we could not resist and this was DINGLE. Then we decided we would repeat the mating and along came MISTY which was the bitch we wanted.

Then there were  THREE so we decided we would have another litter from our MISTY. So we went back to the CANINA KENNEL and used SANTA  SH CH BONNIEFOLD VERSACE WITH CANINA whose father was Sh Ch DELORA GUCCI WITH CANINA. Well Misty did surprise us with twelve puppies , six of each. Again there was one dog that stood out for his head and this was OXO. So now we have FOUR but  my husband says he only ever  wanted one! However, on the quiet he loves them ALL.

Our dogs all  have the most wonderful laid back character, melting expression, good bone and substance which you should expect of the Breed.
